The Firm maintains certain information on all clients, much of which is personal and private. This includes tax and investment information as well as other information. All such information is kept in locked storage and password-protected computers. Such information is also stored in secure back-up facilities to protect the information from the risk of damage or loss due to fire and other events.
The Firm does not disclose any non-public client information to affiliates or to third parties unless granted specific written consent to do so by that particular client. However, if required under law, the Firm will make mandated disclosures and detail for the client the manner in which such legal requirement was met.
When the Firm is permitted by a client, or mandated by law, to divulge information to third parties, the Firm reviews the conduct of any such third parties to ensure that they too respect and maintain the private character of the information.
